Transport Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar distributed cheques worth Rs 1.5 lakh to 1,718 families affected by the Munneru flood in Khammam. He commended the Chief Minister for promptly sending an NDRF team to rescue people during the recent floods. Ajay stayed in the affected areas and supported the poor. The streets were cleaned by the municipal corporation after the floodwaters receded. Rajya Sabha members Bandi Parthasarathy Reddy and Puvvada Aparna also contributed funds to help the flood victims.
The government transferred Rs 1.5 crore to the Collector’s account, which is being used for relief efforts. The District Collector, V P Gautham, stated that each affected family received Rs 8,463. He praised Minister Ajay Kumar for his hard work in providing assistance to the flood victims and completing the survey process promptly.
The Collector emphasized that the minister is dedicated to helping the flood victims and that checks are now being distributed to everyone. In the severely affected Bokkalagadda area, a total of Rs 51,90,600 was given to 615 people.
