    Disabled Persons Encouraged to Apply for Self-Employment Loans in Khammam

    Khammam: Disabled individuals seeking self-employment opportunities are invited to apply online for loans under government schemes by February 12, according to District Welfare Officer K. Ramgopal Reddy.

    The government has approved 24 self-employment units, each valued at Rs 50,000, for the financial year 2024-25. These units are allocated on a one-per-mandal or corporation basis across Khammam district. The initiative aims to support disabled persons in becoming self-reliant.

    To be eligible, applicants must have at least 40 percent disability, be between 21 and 55 years of age, and meet income criteria. The annual income limit is Rs 1.5 lakh for those in rural areas and Rs 2 lakh for urban residents. Additionally, applicants must not have availed any loans in the past.

    District Welfare Officer Reddy urged eligible individuals to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their applications before the deadline on February 12.
