Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has credited former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for transforming Hyderabad into a global IT hub. According to Singh, it was Reddy’s vision that put the city on the global map alongside Bengaluru. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Singh also emphasized that it was the Congress party that fulfilled the promise of separate Telangana. He assured that if the party comes to power in the state, they will implement all the promises of the Bifurcation Act.
Singh described the ‘paper leak’ issue as a mini-Vyapam scam, expressing his concern for the injustice done to unemployed youth in the state. He mentioned that Sonia Gandhi announced six guarantees to resolve these matters that have affected the state.
Addressing the issue of his devotion to the Ram Mandir, Singh clarified that he had also contributed financially to its construction. However, he emphasized the importance of keeping religion and politics separate. He accused the BJP of engaging in division politics based on religion, while stating that the Congress is against such practices.
