In Hyderabad, many important people, including the Chief Minister and A Revanth Reddy, attended a special event. This event was an At Home reception hosted by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. It was held on Thursday to celebrate Independence Day.
Several prominent figures were present at the event. These included Telangana Legislative Council Chairman G Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, and Ministers like N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar. Other attendees were Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Harkara Venugopal, and former Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao. Former MP K Keshava Rao, BRS leader L Ramana, and MLAs Sri Ganesh, Sudarshan Reddy, and Mallareddy Rangareddy also made an appearance.
However, some significant leaders from the BRS and BJP did not attend the event. It seems that the heavy rain in the city might have kept some visitors away from Raj Bhavan.
Additionally, the Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, DGP Jitendra Kumar, and senior officials like Navin Mittal and Dana Kishore were present. I and PR Commissioner Hanumanth Rao, defence officials, and others also attended the gathering.
