Hyderabad: The Dharani portal will be unavailable until December 16 due to maintenance work. During this time, all services on the portal will not be accessible to users.
Officials stated that the maintenance involves a scheduled upgrade of the database version. The work began on Thursday after 5 PM and is expected to finish by the early hours of December 16. This step was taken after receiving complaints about technical issues over the past week, such as OTP generation failures and disruptions in other services. Some modules, except for sale deeds, had also been unresponsive. Authorities suspect that software from the previous vendor, TerraCIS, may have caused these problems.
The Dharani portal is a platform that manages land records and revenue services in Telangana. Recently, the portal’s operations were handed over to the National Informatics Centre (NIC) due to earlier allegations of data leaks under the previous administration. The NIC officially took charge of the portal’s operations and maintenance on December 1, with an initial contract period of three years.
In November, the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) issued guidelines for resolving pending applications on the Dharani portal. These guidelines, based on recommendations from the Dharani Committee, are to be implemented by additional collectors and revenue development officers (RDOs).
