Telangana State DGP Ravi Gupta wrote a memoir in honor of senior IPS official Rajiv Ratan, who passed away from a heart attack. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and the DGP attended Rajiv Ratan’s funeral in the city.
In a statement, the DGP expressed his deep sadness over the loss of his friend Rajiv Ratan. He described Rajiv as a strong and confident person who excelled in various activities like squash and weightlifting. The sudden death of Rajiv has left a big void in their lives.
Rajiv’s journey from the Rashtriya Indian Military College to the National Police Academy was characterized by discipline and strength. He was known for his resilience and determination, always sticking to his principles as a police officer. The DGP recalled the impact Rajiv had on everyone around him during their time at the National Police Academy.
Despite not being in constant touch due to busy schedules, the DGP will miss Rajiv and remembers him fondly. He emphasized the fragility of life and how Rajiv’s passing serves as a reminder of that. The DGP concluded by saying that Rajiv’s memory will always be cherished in their hearts.
