DGP presents a check of 30 lakhs to the wife of a deceased home guard.

In a sad event at the DGP office in Hyderabad, DGP Anjani Kumar handed over a Rs 30 lakh cheque as compensation to M Uma Devi, the spouse of late Majji Govinda Rao. Majji Govinda Rao, who was a Home Guard-9600 of Telangana State, unfortunately passed away in an accident on May 4, 2023.

During the event, Anjani Kumar expressed his condolences and acknowledged that no amount of money could truly make up for the loss of a loved one. However, he assured the family that the police department is committed to providing financial support through a suitable financial package. This is made possible through a salary account tie-up with HDFC Bank.
