Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has raised concerns about private companies being given coal blocks in the state. He believes this decision is hurting Singareni, the state-owned coal mining company. Vikramarka wants Union Minister Kishan Reddy to talk to Prime Minister Modi and advocate for Singareni.

Vikramarka stressed the importance of providing Singareni with enough resources to meet Telangana’s growing electricity needs. He thinks it’s crucial to give new mines to Singareni for its survival, especially the Satthupally and Koyyagudem blocks currently owned by private companies.

Vikramarka suggested reserving Telangana mines for Singareni to ensure it has the resources needed to supply electricity to the state.
