    Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka met with officials to discuss expediting the completion of work on the Naini coal block in Odisha, allocated to Singareni. Vikramarka stressed the importance of starting coal production within four months during the meeting at the Secretariat.

    The Naini coal block project, Singareni’s first outside Telangana, was a major focus of the discussion. Vikramarka emphasized the need for mining operations to enhance the reputation of the state government and the company, as well as benefitting the local community. He urged officials to collaborate with the Odisha State Forest Department to ensure timely project completion.

    Vikramarka called for providing employment opportunities to residents of Niney Block and implementing a comprehensive R&R package. He also emphasized the importance of constructing a high tension power line by the Odisha Electricity Department and addressing rehabilitation and compensation issues promptly in RPDAC meetings.

    Despite being allocated in 2015, production at the Naini coal block had been delayed due to previous government negligence. Vikramarka highlighted the current government’s commitment to addressing these challenges, mentioning his personal visit to Odisha to discuss the project with the state chief minister.
