Khammam: The revenue administration is working quickly to resolve land record grievances on the Dharani portal by the end of June, following an order from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. A special drive is underway in revenue offices to address these issues transparently and efficiently.
To speed up the resolution process, correction powers that were previously only held by Collectors will now be delegated to RDOs and Tehsildars, who will have access to the log-in facility. These officials are already responsible for resolving various land issues such as GLM, TM-33, missing survey numbers, area fluctuations, heritage lands, Nala conversion, lands in court cases, and more.
Some mandals have already resolved land issues and reported to the Collector. Dashboards will be set up in Collectorate, RDO, and Tehsildar offices to track pending applications and alert revenue officials.
The Dharani portals were introduced by the previous government to address land problems permanently. In Khammam district, 1.2 lakh applications were received, and in Bhadradri district, 40,000 applications were submitted by farmers and landowners.
Before the 2023 assembly elections, the revenue administration processed 1.06 lakh applications in Khammam district and 26,000 applications in Bhadradri district. However, the process was stalled due to the model code and conduct of elections. Currently, around 28,000 applications are pending in both districts, but some have been resolved recently. It was reported that Khammam had 13,600 pending Dharani applications, while Bhadradri had 14,381.
