The Supreme Court has ruled that the appointment of the chairman of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) should be made jointly by Arvind Kejriwal and LG VK Saxena. The court reminded them that they are on a constitutional post and advised them to rise above discord. The LG and the Chief Minister will meet jointly to choose the next chairman, as requested by the Supreme Court.

Representatives from both the Delhi Government and the LG agreed to seek instructions from their clients on the matter. However, the Delhi Government expressed doubts that the impasse can be resolved without the intervention of the Supreme Court. The bench adjourned the case till Thursday to await the result of talks between the two parties.
