Telangana’s Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KTR, expressed his disappointment with the Union government for the delays in completing the Uppal and Amberpet flyover works in Hyderabad. KTR responded to a Twitter user’s query about the completion of the Uppal flyover, stating that both flyovers are being executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and that they are progressing at a slow pace despite GHMC’s completion of land acquisition commitments. KTR also highlighted the difference between the KCR government and Modi government, stating that while the former has completed 35 projects, the latter has only completed two. In response to another tweet comparing project execution speeds in Bengaluru, KTR questioned how it was possible for the BJP-led state government’s projects to be ten times slower than those under the NHAI, asking if it was not supposed to be “Double Engine, Double Speed.”
