The Congress party has made some changes to its office bearers in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Deepa Dasmunshi has replaced Manikrao Thakre as the Telangana in-charge, while Manikrao has been shifted to Goa, Daman, Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Deepa is a former MP and Union Minister of State. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been relieved as the general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, but will still be a general secretary. Avishek Pande has taken her place in Uttar Pradesh. Randeep Singh Surjewala is now the Karnataka in-charge, Mukul Vasnik is responsible for Gujarat, and Mohan Prakash has replaced Bhakta Charandas as the Bihar general secretary in-charge. KC Venugopal remains the organization’s general secretary, and Ajay Maken is now the party treasurer. Jairam Ramesh, K C Venugopal, Mukul Wasnik, and Randeep Singh Surjewala continue to be the general secretary in-charges of communication, organization, Gujarat, and Karnataka, respectively. Deepak Babaria is in charge of Delhi and Haryana, while Jitendra Singh, the general secretary in charge of Assam, will also handle Madhya Pradesh.
