Air Commodore VM Reddy, Deputy Director General of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate, recently visited the Inter Group Competition Vayu Sainik Camp. During his visit, he interacted with cadets, staff, and officers from all 7 Air Squadrons of the directorate. He emphasized the importance of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in personality development and nation building.
Reddy mentioned that NCC quota seats are available for various degree courses in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He urged the cadets to be cautious of the negative effects of social media and encouraged them to engage in daily reading and physical activities. He also discussed different career opportunities for cadets.
The Inter Group Competition Vayu Sainik Camp, held from August 18 to 27 at Bison Training Ground, focused on unity, discipline, leadership, and national integration. The camp included activities related to flying, character-building, and patriotism.
During the camp, prizes were awarded to the best air contingent, best squadron in flying, best technical squadron, runners up for the best air contingent, and the best squadrons in aero modelling, firing, drill, tent pitching, and health and hygiene. Air Commodore VM Reddy commended the entire team for their successful organization of the camp.
