District Congress president G Madusudhan Reddy praised the SC, ST Declaration made by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge at the Chevella Prajagarjana Public meeting. He spoke at a program in Kaukuntal mandal of Devarkadra constituency, where he highlighted the contributions of Babasaheb Ambedkar in drafting the Indian constitution. Reddy stated that the Dalit declaration is a significant step towards uplifting Dalits and STs.

During the program, Reddy, along with mandal Congress president Pallamari Narender Reddy and other senior Congress leaders, paid tribute to BalaSaib Ambadkar and AICC president Mallikharjuna Kharge. Reddy criticized the KCR government for breaking their promises to the Dalits and tribals. The government failed to make a Dalit the Chief Minister, provide three acres of land to Dalits, and give 12 percent reservation to tribals. None of these promises have been fulfilled in Telangana over the past 9 years.
