The Medchal-Malkajgiri DCC president Nandikanti Sridhar has resigned from the party and joined BRS. This happened in the presence of BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday. Along with Sridhar, many senior Congress leaders, public representatives, and activists have also joined BRS.
Sridhar explained that they had worked hard for the Congress but realized that there was no place for BCs in the party. He mentioned that despite their efforts, they were left without a seat. Therefore, they decided to join BRS and work under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who supports the development of weaker sections. Sridhar is determined to defeat Mainampally Hanumanth Rao and secure victory for BRS in the Malkajgiri constituency.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao acknowledged the injustice done to Sridhar in the Congress and praised his decision to join BRS. He assured Sridhar that his followers would be protected by the party. Rama Rao emphasized that KCR is the only high command and leader they have, and the party works solely based on his instructions. He expressed confidence in Sridhar and the Congress leaders who joined, stating that they would work together to win Malkajgiri.
