District Collector Valluri Kranti, along with Additional Collector Cheerla Srinivas Sagar, paid tribute to Chakali Ilamma on her 128th birth anniversary. The district Collector stated that Chakali Ayilamma was a great fighter and everyone should draw inspiration from her aspirations.
On Tuesday morning, the district Collector lit a candle and offered a floral tribute to Chakali Ayilamma’s portal. The program was organized by the District Backward Class Welfare Department. Ayilamma played a major role in the armed movement of Telangana peasants, passing down the spirit of struggle and sacrifice to future generations.
The state government celebrates the birth anniversary of Chakali Ayilamma every year. Additional collectors Cheerla Srinivas Sagar, Apoorva Chauhan, BC welfare officer Swetha Priya darshini, AO Bhadrappa, and various district officers also participated in the morning event at the Collectorate.
