District Collector Valluri Kranti recently visited the Media Monitoring and Certification Cell at the IDOC media centre. During the visit, the collector emphasized the importance of providing information about the Assembly elections to print and electronic media through the media centre. The Media certification centre was established at the IDOC complex in accordance with the guidelines of the election commission.

The main focus of the Media Monitoring and Certification Cell is to identify paid news and monitor the advertisements and broadcasting of paid articles without prior permission. These expenses are then counted towards the expenditure of the respective candidates. It is also important to record political party advertisements on social media and news channels.
