District Collector BM Santhosh, along with additional collectors Apoorva Chauhan and Musini Venkateshwarlu, paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his 117th birth anniversary. The event was organized by the SC welfare department at ID OC.
During the ceremony, District Collector BM Santhosh praised Babu Jagjivan Ram for his dedication to the development of lower classes and his exemplary service to the nation. He highlighted Ram’s political career, which saw him rise to the position of deputy prime minister of India.
Babu Jagjivan Ram believed in the power of education for development and worked tirelessly for the education of backward and scheduled classes. He dreamt of a caste-free society and fought for equality and justice for backward classes throughout his life. It is an honor to celebrate his birth anniversary nationwide.
Various officials including AO Bhadrappa, ZP CEO Kanthamma, BC, SC welfare officer Swta Priya Darshini, DRDO Narshimha Rao, SWEEP nodal officer Ramesh Babu, and other district officials participated in the morning ceremony at IDOC Gadwal.
