Gadwal: District Collector B.M Santosh emphasized that students must study with inspiration, determination, and dedication to excel in society. He shared this message while attending a program at M.A.L.D Degree College on Thursday, where he was the chief guest for National Sports Day and Telugu Language Day celebrations.
At the event, the District Collector paid tribute to the image of Goddess Saraswati with floral offerings. He also offered motivational suggestions to the students and participated in the unveiling of the “M.A.L.D Students Voice” college magazine for the academic year 2023-24. Additionally, he inaugurated the National Level Online Quiz Competition and the book “Sparks.”
In his speech, the District Collector stressed the importance of students moving forward with inspiration and determination, aiming for high positions in the future. He advised teachers to recognize and encourage the creativity in their students. The District Collector also announced that he would visit the college twice a month to interact directly with the students, offering advice and guidance on competitive exams.
He urged students to prepare for exams like UPSC and TGSPC by focusing on mastering the basics and maintaining self-confidence and perseverance. The Collector explained that preparing for these exams should be done with the mindset of serving society. He also mentioned the importance of using online resources for exam preparation, not just for UPSC but for all central and state-level competitive exams.
On National Sports Day, which marks the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the District Collector highlighted the importance of sports in maintaining both physical and mental health among students.
He reminded everyone of Gadwal’s significance, noting that even the Chairman of SBI hails from the region, showing that remarkable achievements can emerge from rural areas. He encouraged students to take such individuals as role models.
The Collector also took the opportunity to directly interact with the students, listen to their opinions, answer their questions, and offer suggestions to inspire them.
