    A Dalit man in Andhra Pradesh was tied to a pole and beaten by the relatives of a woman he was allegedly in love with.

    This incident happened in Pedda Brahmadevam village, located in Samarlakota Mandal, Kakinada district.

    The victim’s name is Ajay Kumar. He was attacked by the family members of the woman, who belong to a dominant caste. They accused Ajay of having an affair with her.

    After the assault, Ajay Kumar was taken to a government hospital in Kakinada by auto-rickshaw.
