The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that this system is likely to strengthen into a depression and later develop into a cyclonic storm. It is expected to move westward over the southwest Bay of Bengal.

The Visakhapatnam Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for fishermen, advising them not to go out to sea between October 14 and 16 due to rough sea conditions.

Heavy rainfall is expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema districts during this period. The IMD has predicted widespread rain, with some areas likely to experience extremely heavy downpours.

Cyclones forming in the Bay of Bengal during October are not unusual. Residents are being urged to stay alert and be prepared for any updates.

Apart from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana is also expected to see moderate to heavy rainfall. Districts such as Adilabad, Khammam, Warangal, and several others are forecasted to receive rain between October 14 and 16.

The neighboring states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala are already experiencing rainfall, and similar weather is expected to affect Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the coming days. The IMD has warned of possible heavy rainfall in some areas of these states as well.

Residents in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are being advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed about weather alerts.
