Cyberabad Police Urges Private Security and Event Managers to Follow Rules for Public Safety
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dr. Vineeth G, has stressed the important role of private security agencies and event managers in helping the police maintain public safety. He emphasized the need to follow the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act (PSARA), 2005, to ensure professionalism and legal operations.
On Thursday, the police held a coordination meeting at the Cyberabad Commissioner’s office. Representatives from pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, lodges, amusement centers, event management companies, and private security agencies attended the meeting. The discussion focused on improving security and following legal guidelines to prevent crime.
Private security agencies were reminded that they must have a valid PSARA license from the Director General of Intelligence, Telangana, to operate legally. They were also instructed to ensure their security personnel do not wear uniforms similar to those of the police, military, or paramilitary forces, to avoid public confusion. Additionally, all security guards must carry official photo identity cards at all times for easy verification by the police.
To enhance safety, establishments were told to conduct regular security checks with trained personnel. Security teams must stay alert to prevent any possible threats and maintain a safe environment for customers.
The police also emphasized the importance of closing pubs and other nightlife establishments on time to maintain public order. Businesses were asked to deploy trained security personnel at entry and exit points to control crowds and prevent any incidents.
Private establishments were advised to report any criminal activities immediately and share information about suspects with the police for quick action. They were also instructed to keep a close watch on antisocial elements and maintain regular communication with law enforcement to prevent unlawful activities.
The Cyberabad police urged private security agencies and event managers to work closely with law enforcement to ensure a safe and well-monitored environment for the public.
