    Hyderabad: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mohanty, praised the bravery of three head constables for their courageous actions during a recent firing incident in Gachibowli.

    The officers, M Venkat Reddy (2003 batch), K Pradeep Reddy, and P Veeraswamy (both from the 2000 batch), serve at Madhapur CCS. They received commendation and rewards from the Cyberabad CP in the presence of DCP Crimes K Narasimha and other senior officials.

    The incident occurred on February 1, 2025, during an operation to arrest a notorious criminal, Bathula Prabhakar. The police team encountered gunfire at a pub in Gachibowli. During the attack, head constable Venkat Reddy was shot in the left foot and had to be taken to a private hospital for treatment. Despite the danger, the police successfully arrested Prabhakar, who has over 70 criminal cases registered against him in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

    Commissioner Mohanty appreciated the dedication of the senior officers and stressed the importance of recognizing such acts of bravery. He reaffirmed the Cyberabad police’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.
