Hyderabad City Police Launches ‘Run for Action 2025’ for Women’s Safety

In preparation for International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand launched the poster and opened registrations for the ‘Hyderabad City Police Run for Action 2025.’ The event will feature 2K and 5K runs and will be held at People’s Plaza. This year’s theme is ‘Accelerate Action on Women’s Safety.’

Commissioner Anand encouraged people, especially women and safety advocates, to participate in the run. He emphasized that the event is meant to highlight the collective responsibility of society to ensure women’s safety. Those interested in joining can register at https://rfa.bebetter.run.

“Women’s safety is our top priority. This run is a call to action to raise awareness and discussions on the issue. Let’s come together and show our commitment to making Hyderabad safer for women. See you there!” said CV Anand.

The Hyderabad Police have been actively working to improve women’s safety through initiatives like SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, and exclusive Women’s Police Stations. These efforts have played a key role in making the city safer for women.

The Women’s Safety Wing of the City Police is in charge of organizing the event. The SHE Teams work undercover to prevent harassment and crimes against women through surveillance, counselling, and strict enforcement. Meanwhile, Bharosa Centres offer legal aid, psychological counselling, and rehabilitation services for women in need.

Women Safety DCP Lavanya and other senior officers were present at the event launch.
