In a recent IPL match at M. Chinnaswamy, Shivam Dube of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team hit an impressive 52 off 27 balls, with five sixes and two fours. This earned him praise from his captain, MS Dhoni, who says Dube is talented and can hit the ball cleanly. Dhoni believes Dube can get runs during the middle overs of the game. He also mentioned that Dube has an issue with fast bowlers but is a clean hitter against spinners. Dhoni said that they had certain plans for Dube, but due to an injury, they couldn’t work on them much. He believes that Dube has the talent and needs to believe in himself more.

During the same match, CSK won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight runs despite brilliant half-centuries by Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis. Dhoni said that Bangalore is a good wicket but can be tacky at the start of IPL due to dew. He said that it’s important to start well and then alter plans accordingly. CSK kept it simple and tried to get as much as possible in the second half of the game.
