    Dr. P.C. Rath has become the President of the Cardiological Society of India for the year 2023-2024. This happened at a conference in Kolkata on December 9, 2023, which was attended by over 4000 delegates from India and other countries. There were special sessions on women’s cardiovascular health, pollution and cardiovascular health, and the latest interventional techniques.

    The Cardiological Society of India has more than 5000 cardiologists as members from all over India and abroad. It was started 75 years ago by Dr. B.C. Roy, who later became the Chief Minister of West Bengal. As President of the society, Dr. P.C. Rath will work with different state branches and cardiological societies of other countries. He will also coordinate with the Indian government and state governments to create healthcare policies. The next annual conference of the Cardiological Society of India will be held in Lucknow in December 2024.

    Dr. P.C. Rath is currently the Head of the Department of Cardiology at Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
