Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) held a protest in front of the Mandal Revenue Officer’s (MRO) office in Dharur Mandal. They were demanding swift action on several issues that are affecting farmers in the area.
The protestors presented a memorandum to the MRO, listing their demands. Firstly, they called for an immediate loan waiver for all eligible farmers. The protesters stressed that this should be done without any further delays.
Secondly, they urged the government to release the pending Rythu Bharosa funds from the last two seasons as soon as possible. These funds are essential for the farmers’ financial stability.
The third demand was for compensation to be given to farmers who have suffered losses due to the use of fake seeds. The protestors insisted that these farmers should be compensated without any delay.
Finally, they requested that new loans be issued to farmers immediately. This is crucial for the farmers to prepare for the upcoming agricultural season.
Key participants in the protest included CPM district committee member Upper Narasimha, Mandal Secretary Devadas, and local leaders Mekala Narasimhulu, Thimmapa, Parashuram, Govindu, and Anji.
