Hyderabad: The CPI has announced that it will be contesting one seat each in both Telugu States. However, the party has warned its ally, the Congress, about making decisions without consulting them. The CPI criticized the Congress for not including the INDIA allies in seat-sharing discussions, which resulted in losses for the Congress in the recent Assembly polls in five states.

K Narayana, the national secretary of the CPI, spoke to the media and shared that the party has decided to field candidates in as many constituencies as possible across the country. He cautioned the Congress that it would be mutually beneficial if they considered the realities and allowed the CPI to contest. Otherwise, the CPI may choose to align with other Left, democratic, and liberal parties. Narayana expressed disappointment in the Congress for undermining their partners in seat sharing, despite claiming to be a part of the INDIA block and advocating for alliance unity.
