CPI Claims Credit for Upcoming Rail Coach Factory in Kazipet
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has taken credit for the upcoming rail coach factory in Kazipet. Speaking to party members in Hanumakonda on Monday, CPI State Assistant Secretary Takkalapally Srinivas Rao stated that the party had been fighting for this project for nearly four decades. He emphasized their persistent efforts to convince the central government to establish the factory in the region.
Srinivas Rao highlighted the contributions of senior CPI leaders Madata Kalidas and B. R. Bhagawan Das, who played a significant role in intensifying the movement for the rail coach factory. He mentioned that these leaders even led an All-Party delegation to meet the then Prime Minister, P. V. Narasimha Rao, to push for the project.
The CPI leader also urged both the central and state governments to prioritize local residents when hiring for jobs at the upcoming factory. He stressed the importance of ensuring that the local population benefits directly from the project.
Several other CPI leaders and members were present at the meeting, including district secretary Karre Bikshapathi, Nedunuri Jyothy, Thota Bikshapathi, Maddela Yellesh, Velpula Sarangapani, Kottepaka Ravi, Bathini Sadanandam, and Maloth Shankar Naik. The party continues to celebrate this achievement, which they consider the result of their long-standing struggle.
