Hyderabad: CPI MLA K Sambasiva Rao on Sunday accused opposition parties BRS and BJP of trying to destabilize the government chosen by the people. He claimed they were using the problems of poor people as a tool to achieve their goals.
Sambasiva Rao also criticized HYDRA, alleging that it was destroying the homes of poor and middle-class families, while ignoring wealthy landowners. He suggested that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy should call for an all-party meeting. This meeting should include political leaders, public associations, intellectuals, and environmentalists to discuss and make decisions about the revival of the Musi River that everyone can agree on.
Speaking at a press conference at Maqdoom Bhavan, Sambasiva Rao further expressed his frustration. He accused the BRS and BJP of pretending to argue with each other, while secretly working together. According to him, they were ignoring the real issues in the state and using small problems as an excuse to create instability.
Sambasiva Rao also said that these parties were trying to create chaos in the state so that the Central government would be forced to intervene under the guise of maintaining law and order. He claimed that BRS was more interested in protecting their illegal assets rather than helping the poor in the revival of the Musi River.
The CPI leader clarified that his party would not stay silent if HYDRA continued to target the poor. While he acknowledged political alliances, he said CPI would oppose any unfair treatment of the poor. He emphasized that people living in affected areas should be given proper rehabilitation and not be forced out of their homes. Sambasiva Rao urged the HYDRA Commissioner to focus on the real culprits, such as land grabbers, rather than the poor. He argued that HYDRA’s enthusiasm and hasty decisions were missing the real issues.
