Gadwal, July 31, 2024:
CPM District Committee member Upper Narsimha has called for the immediate distribution of double bedroom houses to all eligible beneficiaries. On Wednesday, he began a survey of these beneficiaries starting from the first ward in the town.
During the survey, Narsimha criticized the government for allocating double bedroom houses but not distributing them to the poor who need them. He questioned why there has been a delay and pointed out that many poor people, including widows, disabled individuals, and the elderly, are living in rental houses or in bad conditions.
Narsimha expressed his concern that valuable public funds and time are being wasted because the houses are not being distributed. He emphasized that the double bedroom houses, which were meant to help the poor, are becoming useless. Some of the houses are already in disrepair, with broken windows and doors, and further neglect could lead to costly repairs.
He urged the district administration and local representatives to act quickly and distribute the houses to all eligible beneficiaries. Narsimha warned that if the authorities do not take action, the CPM will organize a special meeting with the beneficiaries and plan a protest called “Chalo Collectorate.”
Leaders Adi Mahesh, Shiva, and others also took part in the program.
