Ramagundam CP Encourages Maoists to Surrender
Ramagundam Police Commissioner (CP) Srinivas has urged Maoists to surrender and give up their weapons, promising that they would receive benefits for doing so.
On Wednesday, CP Srinivas, along with Mancherial Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bhaskar, visited the family of a Maoist couple, Jadi Bhagya (also known as Pushpa) and Jadi Venkati, from Chandravelli village in Bellampalli mandal.
During the visit, CP Srinivas checked on the health and well-being of the Maoist couple’s family members. He also distributed blankets and other essential items to provide support.
The CP noted that Bhagya and Venkati had been living in hiding for many years, working with the Maoist party but achieving little. Both individuals joined the Maoist movement in 1999.
The couple has now assured their family that the government is ready to support them in various ways, including financial assistance, if they choose to leave the Maoist group and rejoin public life.
