Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand held an executive court session on Thursday to address a political rivalry case. This session took place at TGICCC in Banjara Hills. The case involved a dispute between Nampally legislator Mohd Majid Hussain and MLA contestant Mohd Feroz Khan.

The rivalry came to the court’s attention after the Humayun Nagar SHO submitted information about the ongoing tension between the two political figures, who were trying to assert dominance in the area.

On October 7, Majid Hussain, along with his followers, was inspecting civic work on CC Road at Feroz Gandhi Nagar. Around the same time, Feroz Khan, a Congress party candidate, arrived with his followers to inspect the same work. This led to a confrontation. Majid’s group objected to Feroz’s presence, and a clash broke out. Both groups attacked each other with fists and threw stones, injuring some of their followers and disturbing the peace in the area.

The police quickly intervened, dispersing both groups. They registered a case against participants from both sides under Section 194 BNS, 2023.

During the court session, Commissioner Anand requested more detailed information from the Humayun Nagar police. He listened to both groups—10 people from the group led by Majid Hussain and nine people from Feroz Khan’s group—and advised them to avoid further provocative actions. The case was adjourned for further hearings.
