A gang in Hyderabad was arrested for making fake products of popular brands and selling them in local stores. The police caught Mahendra Singh from Nagaram, who was selling duplicate coconut hair oil, detergent powder, floor cleaning liquids, tea powders, and masala powder under well-known brand names like Parachute, Surf Excel, Lizol, Red Label, Everest, and more.
Authorities conducted raids at three locations where the gang was illegally manufacturing and packaging these fake products. They seized a large quantity of raw materials, food items, packaging materials, and machines used for making the counterfeit products. Mahendra Singh and his associates were running a Kirana & General trading business in Nagaram, Kachiguda, and Begum Bazar.
The gang members were violating the Copy Right Act by producing and selling fake goods to local shops and supermarkets in Hyderabad. They were making easy money by deceiving customers into buying counterfeit items thinking they were genuine products.
