Hyderabad: A significant meeting was held by the North Zone Police to address the growing concerns of street dwellers and homeless individuals in the city. Key participants included officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Secunderabad Cantonment Board, Medical & Health Department, Women & Child Welfare Department, Labour Department, and various NGOs.

The discussion focused on two main issues. First, the need to provide immediate shelter for people living on the streets. Second, ensuring that deceased individuals, especially those found unidentified, are treated with dignity, as there has been a troubling increase in the discovery of unclaimed bodies.
