    In Hyderabad, the Quthbullapur Assembly constituency, which is dominated by the Gouds, saw K P Vivekananda Goud win for the third time in a row in the latest Assembly polls in Telangana. He won with a record majority of 85,576 votes.

    Vivekananda Goud, a former TDP leader who switched to TRS (now BRS), had previously won in 2014 and 2018 by defeating his opponents with significant margins. This time, he won with over 1,87,000 votes, securing a voting percentage of 46.80% against his closest rival from BJP.

    Vivekananda has been active in politics since his college days, following in the footsteps of his father. After completing his engineering degree, he formed his own political party with the symbol of cup and saucer. He joined TRS (now BRS) after the formation of Telangana and has been successful in winning elections.

    Known for his polite behavior, Vivekananda received the Adarsh Yuva Vidhayak Puraskar in 2014 and was selected to represent India in the US Young Leaders Political Program.
