Protests against the mistreatment of women in Manipur continue for the second day at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Students, youths, and women from Manipur who live in Delhi and nearby cities joined the protest organized by the Northeast International Integration Forum (NEFIS). They are urging the government to intervene and bring peace to their state.

The protesters are demanding the immediate arrest and punishment of the culprits. The Sangharshsheel Mahila Kendra (CSW) and Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KVS) activists also expressed their anger over the incident and called for the resignation of the Chief Minister.

Furthermore, the protesters are calling on the Supreme Court to intervene and put an end to the ongoing violence in Manipur. They are demanding the swift arrest and punishment of those responsible for the assault on the two women. The speakers at the protest highlighted how this incident once again highlights the vulnerability of women in times of conflict, considering the ongoing conflict in Manipur over the past few months.
