    Mohammed Mushtaq Malik, the president of Tehreek Muslim Shabban and convener of Telangana Muslim Joint Action Committee, expressed concerns about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He criticized the Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for neglecting minority communities, especially Muslims, and urged voters not to lose their relevance.

    According to Mushtaq Malik, despite receiving support from Muslim organizations during Assembly elections, the Congress government has failed to address the needs of minorities. He claimed that the Congress did not appoint any Muslim ministers or ensure the election of Muslim candidates as MLAs. This has led to a sense of betrayal among Muslim voters.

    Mushtaq Malik also accused the Congress of suppressing Muslim leadership within the party by not appointing a Muslim minister to the cabinet. He criticized the state government for delaying the appointment of a head for the party’s minority department, further alienating Muslim leaders.

    He warned both the Congress and BRS against taking Muslim voters for granted in the upcoming elections. Mushtaq Malik emphasized the importance of Muslim voters in several constituencies and called for fair representation and recognition within the major parties.

    In conclusion, he stated that Muslim organizations are evaluating their options and will make decisions regarding their future course of action in the coming days.
