Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy has announced that his son Amit may run for election in either the Nalgonda or Bhuvanagiri Parliament constituency, if the party agrees. He spoke to the media on Sunday, stating that only four districts in the state were supportive of the Congress party, while the others showed mixed results. He also mentioned that there was opposition against the MLAs and expressed surprise at BRS’s defeat.
Regarding the Congress party’s six guarantees, Reddy believes that the government may not be able to fulfill them. He stated that the benefits of BRS’s governance would be understood by the public after the release of a whitepaper called “Swedha Patram,” which discusses the state’s development during BRS’s regime. Reddy also pointed out that providing free travel for women in RTC buses would cost the government Rs 2,500 crore annually. He criticized the Central government for the smoke bomb attack in Parliament, stating that it highlighted the shortcomings of BJP’s governance.
