The Congress party has lost the trust of the people and will face difficulties in the upcoming local body elections, according to former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
Speaking to the media in Mahabubabad on Saturday, he said that the Congress government failed to fulfill its 420 promises made during the Assembly elections. This has led to dissatisfaction among the people.
Errabelli also stated that the public is unhappy with the Revanth Reddy-led government and is ready to reject Congress. He pointed out that in Karnataka, too, the Congress lost trust because it could not keep its promises.
He further claimed that neither Congress leader Rahul Gandhi nor the party’s MLAs in Telangana have confidence in Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He added that he had earlier warned that Revanth Reddy was not reliable.
Errabelli also mentioned that Congress performed poorly in the Delhi Assembly elections, even though leaders from Telangana and Karnataka campaigned for the party.
