Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has announced that the Congress government would cancel all agreements made with the Adani Group if allegations against its chairman, Gautam Adani, are proven.
His statement came in response to a demand by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR), who urged the government to follow in the footsteps of Kenya and revoke all agreements with the Adani Group. Goud went a step further, predicting that if Adani were to be arrested, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also be forced to resign.
The TPCC chief accused Modi of being complicit in Adani’s alleged financial crimes. He called for Adani’s immediate arrest and demanded the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the bribery allegations. Goud claimed that Adani had benefited from deals worth thousands of crores under the Modi government and alleged that the Prime Minister remained silent despite repeated questioning by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Goud further alleged that Gautam Adani had not only exploited resources in India but also deceived several other countries. He believed that Adani’s arrest would reveal many hidden truths.
Regarding the controversy surrounding donations of Rs 100 crore for the Skill University, Goud responded to critics by stating that the Congress government would accept donations even from BRS leader KTR if offered.
