Warangal: Congress MLAs Naini Rajender Reddy and K.R. Nagaraju strongly criticized the KCR-led BRS Government in response to remarks made by BRS leaders at a press conference earlier in the day. The Congress leaders accused the BRS of failing to deliver on its promises despite being in power for two terms.

Naini Rajender Reddy pointed out that the BRS Government had not fulfilled its commitment to provide double-bedroom houses and other welfare schemes. He challenged the BRS leaders to disclose the number of ration cards issued during their tenure instead of blaming the Congress.

He also highlighted unfulfilled promises made by Chief Minister KCR. “KCR promised Rs 300 crore every year for Warangal’s development and assured an underground drainage system for the city. These promises have not been realized,” Naini said.

Naini further defended the Congress Government’s implementation of welfare schemes. He stated that beneficiaries for schemes such as ration cards, Indiramma houses, Rythu Bharosa, and financial aid for landless farmers were being selected transparently. He urged BRS leaders to stop spreading misinformation, assuring that all eligible individuals would receive the benefits.

Meanwhile, K.R. Nagaraju, a former IAS officer, criticized BRS leaders for showing a lack of trust in the police. He expressed disappointment over their remarks and called for responsible behavior from political leaders.

The exchange of criticisms between the two parties underscores the ongoing political tensions in the region as both sides prepare for upcoming elections.
