A crucial meeting is going to happen about the alliance between the Left parties and the Congress in Hyderabad. There has been confusion and uncertainty about this alliance lately. The Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPM] will have separate state executive meetings to discuss this matter.
The CPM has given a deadline to the Congress to respond about the alliance and seat adjustment. Since there has been no response from the Congress, the CPM has decided to participate in the elections independently. They are expected to have candidates in 5 to 8 positions.
According to reports, the Congress doesn’t want to give up the Kothagudem seat, which was initially given to the CPI. The Communists argue that the Congress is not following the principles of the alliance, and they are very unhappy with this decision. Both Communist parties will make a final decision on the alliance with the Congress today.
