MLC Chintapandu Nivan, also known as Teenar Mallanna, has been suspended from the Congress party. The party’s leadership decided to take this step after discovering that he was involved in activities that went against the party’s interests.
The issue began when Mallanna made controversial comments about a group in the BC House. On February 5, the party issued him a show-cause notice, asking him to explain his statements by February 12. However, since he did not respond, the party proceeded with his suspension.
PCC Chief Mahesh Goud emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone who goes against the party’s rules. He also mentioned that AICC-in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan had started her duties and recently visited Gandhi Bhavan to guide party leaders.
Mahesh Goud further clarified that Mallanna was not suspended for insulting any group. Instead, the action was taken because he tore up the party’s survey and its copies.
