Janampally Anirudh Reddy, the general secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and in charge of the Jadcherla constituency, launched a movement called the ‘Farm loan waiver application movement’ in Rangareddy Guda village of Rajapur mandal on Monday. This movement is part of the Haath Se Haath Jodo Yatra, and its focus is on the issue of farm loan waiver. As part of the yatra, Anirudh Reddy plans to visit every doorstep in every village of Jadcherla constituency to take grievance applications from farmers who have pending farm loans. He will then submit these applications to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and TPCC president Revanth Reddy to pressure the State government to immediately waive off the pending farm loans of farmers.

During the launch of the movement, Anirudh Reddy criticized the BRS party for failing to keep its promise of waiving off farm loans of farmers up to Rs 1 lakh. He stated that not a single farmer in the State has benefited from the scheme after nine years of BRS rule. Anirudh Reddy emphasized that the farm loan waiver issue will be taken up as a big movement, and all farmers burdened with farm loans will be encouraged to submit their applications and petitions to the Chief Minister. The TPCC general secretary plans to tour the entire constituency by meeting each and every person he comes across during his padayatra and take applications from them on loan waiver.
