Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesman for the MBT, criticized the Congress-led government in Telangana, accusing them of neglecting the Muslim community. Speaking at an Eid Milap gathering, Khan expressed concern over what he described as the government’s disregard for Muslim interests.

According to Khan, the Congress leadership appears to be banking on their alliance with AIMIM to secure Muslim votes, neglecting direct engagement with Muslim voters. He highlighted the disappointment felt by many Muslims who had hoped for better treatment under the Congress administration.

Khan also criticized the Congress-AIMIM alliance, suggesting that it sends the wrong message to both Muslim voters and Hindu nationalist groups.

He further highlighted instances of communal incidents targeting Muslims in various parts of Telangana, with what he described as a tepid response from law enforcement.

Additionally, Khan expressed concern over the inclusion of individuals with a history of anti-Muslim sentiment from the BJP into the Congress party, bypassing loyal Muslim supporters.

Khan emphasized that without concrete assurances from the Congress central leadership, the Muslim community in Telangana may withhold their support in upcoming elections. He underscored the desire of Muslims and secular-minded Hindus to see a change in national leadership but criticized the behavior of the Congress is astonishing.
