Hyderabad: Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has challenged leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to an open debate. He wants to compare how their parties have implemented their poll promises while in power.

During a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, the Congress MP criticized the BRS government and its leader, former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He questioned the effectiveness of KCR’s leadership over the last ten years.

Reddy said that the Congress is ready to discuss the progress made during their 10 months in government, compared to the 10 years of BRS rule. He suggested that both parties bring their manifestos for a fair comparison. “In just ten months, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy hasn’t taken a single day off, while KCR spent barely ten days in the Secretariat over the last ten years,” Reddy claimed.

The Congress MP also criticized former Minister T Harish Rao for making false accusations against the Congress government. He pointed out that under BRS, only interest payments on debt relief were made, whereas CM Revanth Reddy has directly addressed the issue despite challenges. “Have we not provided better governance?” he asked.

Reddy further alleged that there is rivalry among close family members within the BRS leadership. He claimed that the BRS party was not created for the welfare of Telangana but for personal gains through collections and commissions.
