Hyderabad: Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy has accused BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) of trying to divert public attention from the ongoing Formula E car race issue. According to him, KTR, who is currently facing trial in connection with the case, is deliberately provoking the judge to shift focus away from the matter.

Speaking to the media at the Congress Legislative Office (CLP) on Friday, Jeevan Reddy criticized the BRS party for misleading farmers for the past 10 years. He alleged that the BRS, after failing farmers for a decade, is now protesting in their name to cover up its shortcomings.

The Congress leader highlighted that within just one year of coming to power, the Congress government has implemented loan waivers of up to Rs two lakh for farmers. He claimed this achievement has not been matched anywhere else in the country, showcasing the party’s commitment to supporting the farming community.

Jeevan Reddy also announced that under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, farmers will start receiving financial assistance of Rs 12,000 per acre starting January 26. He criticized the previous government for neglecting to issue ration cards and accused the BRS administration of failing to implement key welfare initiatives, such as the free transportation scheme for women and the provision of 200 units of free electricity.
