Hyderabad: Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Rangareddy has criticized leaders of the BRS party for comparing their chief, K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), to Mahatma Gandhi. He questioned this comparison, saying that KCR should be compared to Godse instead.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly on Saturday, the MLA expressed his disbelief over the comparison. He pointed out that KCR had sold thousands of acres of government land in the Rangareddy district, and wondered how someone who did such things could be likened to Gandhi.
The MLA also supported statements made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who had criticized the BRS leadership. Malreddy Rangareddy mocked the BRS leaders, saying they would only “become wiser after drinking Musi river waters.”
The MLA further questioned BRS leaders T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao, asking how they had accumulated so much wealth after coming to power. He warned that the wrongdoings of the top leaders in the BRS would soon be exposed.
